About Amigos
Amigos Mexican Restaurant first opened it's doors to the public back in 1991 in the town of Upton-Upon-Severn. After several years of trading, Amigos needed a bigger premises and decided on a move to Friar Street Worcester.
The newly aquired property was in need of some serious renovations after being derelict for some years. The history of the building is a little vague but there are rumours of how it was once a gatehouse to a glove factory (now the Fownes Hotel.) The main building itself is 16th Century and one of the oldest buildings in Friar Street. Recent excavation revealed that it had been built upon Roman ruins.
